Amaryllis are an Christmas favorite, brightening the holidays or your winter window garden with deep green, strap-like leaves and showy flowers on upright stems. They also grow in the spring garden! Our Dutch-grown amaryllis bulbs will already be sprouting when they arrive at your doorstep. Place your potted plants in a full sun location and enjoy the extravagant 6- to 8-inch flowers produced by these fast-growing bulbs in just a few weeks. If you're in hardiness zones 9 or 10, you can also plant these perennial bulbs outdoors. Choose a full sun location with well-drained, clay, loamy or sandy soil. Amaryllis do require some special care to encourage reblooming, but we include complete growing and reblooming instructions with every plant we ship.

When they bloom, dazzling amaryllis produce several huge flowers on each upright stem. Some varieties are 18 to 24 inches tall. The intense red, pure white or delicate pink colours contrast sharply with the plant's dark green strap-shaped leaves.
