Treat Yourself to a Feast of Summer Colour and Perfume!

Tall Garden Phlox is a summer delight no garden should be without. The gleaming pastel colours and abundant blooms set off any perennial bed. Just imagine them—subtle pinks, deep reds, striking oranges, regal purples, stunning blues and pure whites—dancing in the breeze and giving off their heady perfume while you sip lemonade on the patio.

Ideal Summer Beauty
Tall Garden Phlox is a very versatile plant providing beautiful colour after spring-blooming perennials have faded. Use it for background in borders or as a bright focal point between taller and shorter plants in your beds. Huge, fluffy flower heads up to 8" long waft in the breeze atop 2 to 3' stalks. And nothing beats their heady, spicy fragrance. Just a single flower head can perfume an entire room of your home!

Better Hybrids Mean Garden Success
Powdery mildew has been the bane of phlox growers for years. But our Tall Phlox varieties all exhibit superior resistance to powdery mildew, so you will worry less and enjoy more!

Easy to Grow and Maintain
Hardy in zones 3-9, our Tall Garden Phlox will thrive in a wide range of soils and growing conditions. They require very little care and will grow best in full sunlight to moderate shade. For best results, keep your phlox moist with thorough, frequent watering. Try to water the soil rather than foliage to aid in mildew prevention. A layer of mulch will help to keep the soil cool and damp.

Now Breck's makes it easy and affordable to enjoy the very best Tall Garden Phlox available. Dutch staff have selected six of the most beautiful and reliable varieties for this special collection.

This collection includes 2 each of the following varieties.

Red Riding Hood – Displays red flowers of an exceedingly deep hue. Rich fragrance, too. 2- to 3' stalks. Try planting it with Phlox "David" for contrast. Blooms summer until early fall.
Eva Cullum - Dozens of spicy-scented, warm pink florets with hot-pink eyes cover 4-6" flower heads atop 2-3' stems. A real eye-opener from summer until early fall!
Blue Paradise – Simply breathtaking! Long-blooming flowers are rich blue with a wonderful, spicy fragrance. Highly resistant to mildew. 2-3' tall. Blooms summer until early fall.
David - Recipient of the Perennial Plant Association's 2002 Perennial Plant of the Year Award. Very fragrant pure white flowers nicely contrast the deep green foliage. "David" is highly resistant to powdery mildew. Grows 2-3' tall. Blooms summer until early fall.
Nicky – Velvety, deep magenta-purple florets offer pure colour unseen in ordinary garden store phlox. You just might decide it is the fairest of them all. This nicely fragrant beauty blooms from summer until early fall. Grows 5-6' tall. Immense 5-6" flower trusses combine to form a ball.
Orange Perfection - Beautiful salmon-coloured flowers give your garden a fresh splash of late-season colour! Blooms summer until early fall with a flurry of 5-8" flowers on 2-3' stalks. Exceptionally fragrant— delightful in bouquets.
