Toad lilies are native to woodland areas, but are ideal for shady borders and paths where their 1-2", orchid like blooms can be viewed up close. These low maintenance perennials require no staking or deadheading, and they are not troubled by disease or hungry deer. So find a shady spot and enjoy their speckled splendour each year from late summer to frost!

Tricyrtis, or toad lilies, add colour and interest to areas of the garden that are often forgotten. The four varieties we've "spotted" for our Toad Lily Collection feature rich jewel tones in unusual patterns—from mildly mottled to spectacularly speckled! Line your shady borders and pathways with these unique and easy-togrow perennials, and your late-summer landscape will come alive with exotic beauty that lasts for weeks!
This collection includes 2 each of the following varieties:
- Formosana: Lovely, long-lived, star-shaped blooms are white and dappled with purple, with yellowish throats. When flowering, these plants give any shaded area an exotic look. Grows 24-32" tall.
- Blue Wonder: The best blue toad lily we've found! Cool, star-shaped, spotted blooms look like they were made for shade! Grows 24" tall.
- Taipei Silk: Intricate flowers are more "freckled" than spotted, with blue and purple petals highlighted by a pop of yellow in the centre. Grows 20-24" tall.
- Golden Festival: Our unique yellow variety stands out among blue and purple blooms—and there's hardly a space between its myriad maroon freckles. Grows 18-26" tall.

Based on the contents of your order we always strive to ship your order complete, and as early as possible in the planting season to allow for the best root development once planted.
To promote optimum stress protection in transit and your success in the garden, bareroot perennials are kept in the ground in our nurseries until fully dormant. In the Fall these plants tend to arrive at the later end of the shipping window above.
In all cases, we choose the fastest, most efficient way to delivery your orders via the USPS or FedEx based on your hardiness zone.. Large orders may be shipped in more than one package.
Bulb and perennial shipments direct from Holland are harvested in July and August dependent on the season and crop. Once fully inspected and packaged they are shipped direct to you in the most efficient manner to follow the dates above.
Garden hardgoods and Gift Certificates ship with in 4-7 day.

Lilies Tips & Growing Instructions
Versatile Asiatic Lilies are great for beds and borders, planted among shrubs, along walls, or in containers. They are incredibly easy to grow and few garden pests trouble them. For best results, plant your lilies where they will have good drainage and mix some leaf mold or compost into the soil. Lilies prefer to have their blooms in the sun and their roots in the shade. Try planting them among annuals or perennials that will keep their roots cool. Always allow the leaves on the stalk to turn yellow and fall off as part of the lily's natural growth process. This ensures that the bulbous underground part of the plant has gotten enough nourishment and will mean greater growth next year. Each year watch their beauty increase as they multiply!
