Developed in the late 1800s, hybrid tea roses are a cross between hybrid perpetual roses and tea roses. They became wildly popular almost immediately, and continue to be held in esteem by gardeners everywhere. Hybrid tea roses are known for their large, well-formed blooms—usually carried singly on medium to long stems—which are perfect for cutting for indoor arrangements. They are also the most popular for exhibition.

Introduce some romance into your summer garden with Hybrid Tea Roses. After spring's spectacular bounty, keep your garden lively with our selection of perennial rose bushes, which grow to a towering 2 to 6 feet tall. These wonderfully fragrant flowers showcase velvety, full-bodied blooms and a variety of enchanting hues such as pure white, soft pink, clean lavender, bright yellow, and crimson red. Some varieties are bi-coloured with uniquely patterned petals, and many are disease resistant. Our selection of hybrid tea roses will flower throughout the season. Many varieties bloom from the beginning of summer until fall's first frost.

To create the most fabulous flowers and fullest shrubs, you'll need to plant them in the spring. Bury them in a sunny or partially shady area with well-drained clay, loamy or sandy soil. When planting your hybrid tea roses, arrange the root so that its crown is even with the level of the soil. These vigorous flowers like to stay hydrated, so make sure to water your plants thoroughly or plant them in a relatively open area where they will be exposed to summer rains.

Whether you are nurturing a cottage garden, constructing a formal oasis, or creating something in between, your roses' bushes and blooms will add structure and elegance to your yard. Bury them in rows alongside houses and fences for natural decoration and privacy, or plant them in containers to add life to courtyards and porches. Plant dense swaths of your favourite hybrid tea roses in their own bed, or use them as landscape ornaments to delight both you and your neighbours. Snip off a few of their deliciously scented flowers and showcase them in their own vase or as part of a summer flower bouquet. Create a landscape fit for royalty with hybrid tea roses.
