This is the second year for blooming of this tulip. Every bit as good as the first year. Somehow among the 10 bulbs sent was one bulb that has bloomed with a black colored bloom while all the nine others are red and yellow! Looks like a bulb got mixed in. Quite a surprise to say the least. Will order the WOW assortment this year (2015) and will look forward to the additional free Towering Prism Tulip Bulb included in the collection. Well worth while purchase that seems to be living up to the claim of "Perennial" except for the Black tulip mixed in as one of the ten shipped. Except for the Black tulip I would have picked a 5 star rating. Bummer! ! ! !

I've experimented with about 10 tulip varieties and Halley's Comet Jumbo Tulip is my favorite. It has beautiful color, and also has a beautiful tulip smell. Most of my other varieties have no smell (Tulip Cash for example), and some, like Olympic Flame, and Orange Balloon, have a slightly bad smell.
