Real neat when they first come up white but then turn a faded green and not so attractive.

The site says this is a plant, but when it arrived it was just roots. Waiting to see what happens.

When I saw this hosta in the catalog I was very excited. i thought that an all white hosta would add a great contrast to the other hostas in my shade garden. But they came up at least half green - not unlike a number of other hostas that I already have have. the plant was healthy enough, but definitely not as described.

I'm rather disappointed in these hostas. I bought seven of them and not one is white! They're attractive enough, but nothing to brag about. Even when first popping up, there was much green.

The first year I planted 3 of these, they just came up light green and not very special looking. This year they were a creamy white with green veins and were stunning !

I don't understand the poor reviews. I intend to buy them next year; but if you read the description completely you'll notice in the 3rd line "As the season progresses, the leaves mature into a blend of green and cream, but will emerge white again each year" - See more at: http://www.brecks.com/product/White-Feather-Hosta#reviews

Remarkable in spring

This plant performs exactly as advertised. It is a beautiful white with light green stems when it first comes up and darkens to light green as the summer goes on. I agree that it isn't the most attractive Hosta for the second half of the summer, but I enjoy all the remarks I get about it in the spring.
Beautiful hostas

Mine arrived bare root, just as expected. I opened the box and bag, and sprinkled water in until I could plant. They shot up quickly and are now in the garden. The deeper the shade, the whiter the leaves; the more sun that filters in? The more green. 4th-grade science should tell you where to plant these to get the effect you want.

bought these last year and planted them in a partial shade area. came up white but quickly turned to green. THIS year, after I moved them to FULL shade, and nature watered them abundantly, they are just like the picture. the leaves are more delicate than my other hostas; very striking in contrast. I expect them to fade to pale green as the season progresses. This first 6 weeks of bloom have been picture perfect.

I was, and still am, fascinated by this Hosta. I love the look and the contrast it provides in the garden. However it is a very slow starter and needs to be babied along.
