Foliage turns from green to golden!
This multiple award winner looks great in mass plantings or in a patio pot, as ground cover or as a single specimen. Scapes rise above the large mound of foliage to produce pale lavender flowers in midsummer, but the real colour show happens to the ovate leaves. They have dark green edges and light green middles in spring, but by midsummer, the centres become golden. Grows best in moist, well-drained, highly organic soils. A sandy loam offers excellent aeration for the roots. Winner of the American Hosta Society's Alex J. Summers Distinguished Merit Award and two-time recipient of the group's Best Hosta Seedling or Sport Award.
