Description

As elegant as Astaire and Rogers dancing cheek to cheek, this Japanese-style peony provides glamour and colour wherever it's used. A vigorous variety, Top Hat yields a slew of medium-size flowers with rows of cardinal-red petals surrounding a large, fluffy centre of creamy white to light yellow staminodes. More red petals usually grow in the middle of those. Blooms measure 5½-6" across on mature plants. Midseason flowering.
