Crocus

For many gardeners, crocus flowers provide the first sign of spring! This perennial flower grows brighter and more plentifully each year. Crocuses are easy-to-grow and thrive in the late winter and very early spring. From dainty varieties to giant crocus for naturalizing, you'll find easy-to-grow crocus bulbs here!

Goblet-shaped spring-blooming crocus heads peek up through snow , dot the landscape with colour, and herald winter's end. When autumn arrives and other plants withdraw, autumn crocus raises up a finale of colourful crocus flowers. Ideal for naturalizing, Breck's premium Dutch crocus plants are a perennial that you'll see increase in number year after year.Crocus plants tuck into containers, guard border edges and bring bright spots to rock gardens. Few bulbs naturalize as beautifully through lawns as crocus plants do, and their fragrant nature is known to draw the bees out of their hives as early as February or March.

Our Crocus selection includes varieties hardy from zones 3 through 9 in classic solids and bicolours, ranging from elfin blooms to mammoth types. Our fall-blooming crocuses provide warm details to the autumn garden. Give these premium Dutch bulbs a spot with full, direct sun at least six to eight hours per day, or plant them under open trees where they'll bloom before leaves unfurl. Crocus bulbs tolerate all soil types from clay to sand, as long as drainage is good.
