Drought-Resistant & Sun-Loving Designer Garden

Drought-Resistant & Sun-Loving Designer Garden

A colourful collection of varieties that require little water.

Too many hot, sunny days and too little water will decimate most flower beds. That's why we chose nine colourful perennials that, once established, can take the heat and drought, and still put on a spectacular show all season long! This garden should be planted in well-drained soil where it will receive full sun. The varieties in this collection cover an area of approximately 60 square feet (6' x 10'). Each collection comes with a helpful planting diagram. Varieties are labeled for ease of planting.

This Designer Garden includes 1 each of the following:
  • Green Twister Coneflower
  • Orange Glory Flower
  • Coronation Gold Plate Yarrow
  • Snowflake Evergreen Candytuft
  • Goblin Gaillardia
  • Emerald Blue Carpet Phlox
  • Emerald Pink Carpet Phlox
  • Drummond's Pink Carpet Phlox
  • Autumn Joy Sedum

Green Twister Coneflower: 4", daisylike, lemon-green blooms—some of which are more yellow than green—darken to reddish pink in the centre and highlight a carmine-red cone. This eye-catching coneflower is excellent in bouquets and arrangements, but you can also leave some spent blooms to feed finches and other birds through the winter.
