Decorative Dahlia Mixture
Decorative Dahlia Mixture
Gorgeous assortment of colourful, chrysanthemum-like giants.
Dahlias are amazing cut flowers, but they can also be wonderful garden plants. These perennials can be sensitive to cold weather, so if they are not grown in a warm climate it is best to dig them up for storage or to grow them as annuals. For the best results, the dahlia plant needs full sun. However, in zones 8 and up they will do better with some morning sun and afternoon shade.
The dahlia plant looks great near fading spring flowers such as tulips and daffodils or next to annuals like artemisia plants. Decorative dahlias can also be planted in potted containers which allows them to get started growing earlier than in the ground. Order these ornate blooms today to make a statement in your garden!

Shipping
Breck's times its shipments from Holland so that bulbs and bareroots arrive at the proper planting time (depending on climatic conditions) for each area of North America. To promote optimum stress protection in transit and your success in the garden, bareroot perennials are kept in the ground in our nurseries until fully dormant. In the Fall, these plants tend to arrive at the later end of the shipping window below.
We will pack and ship your order based on the following schedules. The type of product you order or the weather may affect the anticipated shipping schedule below. Based on the contents of your order we always strive to ship your order complete, and as early as possible in the planting season to allow for the best root development once planted.
