Showtime Bearded Iris Collection

Showtime Bearded Iris Collection

Rare Iris Hues for Your Garden

Our Showtime Bearded Iris Collection is filled with some of the most extraordinary iris colourations. These varieties will create a rainbow of breathtaking hues in your mid- to late-spring garden. Iris germanica
With literally thousands of variations of tall bearded irises in the world, it helps to identify these beautiful flowers by their three main parts:
STANDARDS: The three upper iris petals that stand at attention, curving to meet each other at their highest point. Standards can be ruffled or lacy, solid or multicoloured.
BEARDS: The fuzzy flower accents that look like colourful caterpillars! Beards not only give the bearded iris its name, they help guide pollinators to the treasure trove of nectar inside.
FALLS: Often a contrasting colour to the standards, the falls consist of three downward curving petals that highlight the beards and complete the distinctive iris look!

Includes 1 each of Daring Deception, Black is Black, Frimousse, Adventurous, Blueberry Bliss and Livin' Easy (Varieties are individually labeled for ease of planting.)

Daring Deception This gem's pure white standards transition into a light violet wash. The violet falls are outlined by a wide white band, framing the tangerine beards. It releases a subtle fragrance, enhancing its appeal for cutting. Wister and Dykes Medal winner! Grows 35" tall
Black is BlackTrue jet-black iris is breathtaking in the garden, especially when planted with white and light-hued varieties. Each stem yields 9-12 blooms that are 4½" in size, making this variety ideal for bouquets and borders. Winner of the 2017 Wister Medal. Grows 37" tall.
Frimousse The large, vibrant, 5" blooms display peach-hued standards stacked atop wide, raspberry falls. Bright tangerine beards add further to the colour show. Integrates well with other dramatically shaded flowers, blends nicely with yellows. Grows 33" tall.
Adventurous Its light yellow standards, delicately veined in white, elegantly contrast with the vibrant violet-blue falls, encircled by a ruby-red band. The well-branch stalks of this award winner bear 8-9 blooms that release a slightly sweet fragrance. A beauty! Grows 35" tall.
Blueberry Bliss Behold the considerable size and plump, ruffled form of its vibrant, deep blue, 6½" flowers. Planted alongside white or soft pastel varieties, this multiple award winner provides sophistication to sunny borders and beds, and enhances any bouquet. Grows 40" tall.
Livin' Easy Striking yellow petals radiate warmth, with deeper orange-tinged falls creating a bold contrast. The ruffled, 4¼" blooms are embraced by delicate cream stripes encircling golden beards, releasing a mild scent. The overall effect creates a glow from the garden. Grows 30-32" tall.
