Breck's® Showtime Bearded Iris Collection

Breck's® Showtime Bearded Iris Collection

Rare Iris Hues for Your Garden

Our Showtime Bearded Iris Collection is filled with some of the most extraordinary iris colourations. These varieties will create a rainbow of breathtaking hues in your mid- to late-spring garden. Iris germanica
With literally thousands of variations of tall bearded irises in the world, it helps to identify these beautiful flowers by their three main parts:
STANDARDS: The three upper iris petals that stand at attention, curving to meet each other at their highest point. Standards can be ruffled or lacy, solid or multicoloured.
BEARDS: The fuzzy flower accents that look like colourful caterpillars! Beards not only give the bearded iris its name, they help guide pollinators to the treasure trove of nectar inside.
FALLS: Often a contrasting colour to the standards, the falls consist of three downward curving petals that highlight the beards and complete the distinctive iris look!

Includes 1 each of Orange King, Slovak Prince, Ghost Train, Merchant Marine, Redneck Girl and Discovered Treasure

Orange King All hail Orange King, an award winner with extravagant ruffling and a dazzling, orange-amber colouration! Its many blooms will illuminate your landscape whether this iris is grown in a border or planted in a large group. Expect 2-3 branches and an impressive 6-9 buds per flowering stem. Grows 40" tall.
Slovak Prince Frilled, fragrant blooms dazzle with white, golden-rimmed standards that rise above deep purple falls with white marbling at the hafts. Winner of the prestigious Wister Medal. Grows 33" tall.
Merchant Marine Large, very ruffled blooms are completely saturated in rich azure blue. A robust plant and exceptional bloomer, it's great in back of a border. Award winner. Grows 38" tall.
Ghost Train Award winner features inky, violet-black flowers that are beautifully ruffled but smoothly textured. Grows 37" tall.
Redneck Girl Saturated dark red falls flare beneath dusky purple-red standards and blue beards to create a regal, velvety appearance. Large, 6" flowers open from 6-7 socketed buds on two-branch stems. Grows 36" tall.
Discovered Treasure Sweetly fragrant, vigorous iris produces lovely pastel flowers with a generous proportion of ruffles. Arched standards are hued buff pink, and tangerine beards rest on the orchid-violet falls. An excellent cut flower! Grows 38" tall.
