Breck's® Showtime Bearded Iris Collection Description

Rare Iris Hues for Your Garden
Our Showtime Bearded Iris Collection is filled with some of the most extraordinary iris colourations. These varieties will create a rainbow of breathtaking hues in your mid- to late-spring garden.
With literally thousands of variations of tall bearded irises in the world, it helps to identify these beautiful flowers by their three main parts:
STANDARDS: The three upper iris petals that stand at attention, curving to meet each other at their highest point. Standards can be ruffled or lacy, solid or multicoloured.
BEARDS: The fuzzy flower accents that look like colourful caterpillars! Beards not only give the bearded iris its name, they help guide pollinators to the treasure trove of nectar inside.
FALLS: Often a contrasting colour to the standards, the falls consist of three downward curving petals that highlight the beards and complete the distinctive iris look!

Includes 1 each of Orange King, Winter Waltz, Black is Black, Titans Glory, Burgundy Bohemian and Stairway to Heaven

Orange King All hail Orange King, an award winner with extravagant ruffling and a dazzling, orange-amber colouration! Its many blooms will illuminate your landscape whether this iris is grown in a border or planted in a large group. Expect 2-3 branches and an impressive 6-9 buds per flowering stem. Grows 40" tall.
Winter Waltz Sturdy stems that grow to a substantial 38" in height support ruffled, icy blue flowers with complementary violet-blue beards. Perfect for use in fresh-cut, spring bouquets and arrangements! Grows 38" tall.
Black Is Black True jet-black iris is breathtaking in the garden, especially when planted with white and light-hued varieties. Each stem yields 9-12blooms that are 4½" in size, making this variety ideal for bouquets and borders. Winner of the 2017 Wister Medal. Grows 37" tall.
Titans Glory Dusky multi-award winner bears 6" blooms of the deepest purple. Well-branched habit bears up to eight healthy buds per branch, creating an extended bloom time. Grows 37" tall.
Burgundy Bohemian Introduced this year! Be among the first to grow this richly hued and regal specimen from Breck's own breeder, Christian Bedard. Large, frilled flowers display golden standards, burgundy falls, and orange beards with white and yellow markings. Grows to 35-37" tall.
Stairway to Heaven Ruffled, creamy white standards rise above medium blue falls. Plant in groups to create a serene effect in the garden. Awarded the 1999 Wister Medal and 2000 Dykes Medal. Grows 39" tall.
