Breck's® Wild Lactiflora Peony
Breck's® Wild Lactiflora Peony
You won't find larger clumps anywhere!
Wild Lactiflora is considered the mother of most modern peony varieties. Paeonia lactiflora grows wild in central and eastern Asia. It was cultivated there for centuries until, in the mid-1700s, it was brought to England, where it became a sensation.
This long-lived peony's fragrant, bowl-shaped blooms open in late spring to early summer. The vividly hued, 4-6" flowers feature bright pink petals and yellow stamens, and the blooms stand out starkly against the handsome, glossy, deep green leaves. The foliage remains very ornamental throughout the growing season.
Our huge, undivided plants have at least 10 eyes from which sprouts will emerge. You won't find larger clumps anywhere! We guarantee your peony will flower the first spring, and you can expect it to continue doing so every spring for decades.
