Cotton Candy Grass

Cotton Candy Grass

About Cotton Candy Grass

Whether grown as a specimen plant, used to beautify a barren slope or planted en masse for dramatic effect, Cotton Candy Grass will exceed your expectations. Once you try this colourful and versatile ornamental grass, you'll wonder how you went so long without it!

One of the Showiest Grasses Around
Spectacular as a specimen plant, growing on a rocky slope or when planted in groups, it's no wonder home gardeners love Cotton Candy Grass! Its silky, loosely branched, 12" inflorescences add gorgeous pink to pinkish-red tones, textural splendour and breeze-driven movement to the garden between midsummer and early fall.

Adds garden interest all year
Try using Cotton Candy to accent a sunny border, where its airy, pink flower clusters will complement nearby purple or red late season bloomers such as dahlias, asters and phlox. This grass can also serve as a backdrop for smaller plants. The wiry, narrow, blue-green stems and leaves of its tidy clumps are attractive year-round—even when not in bloom—developing seedpods during winter. There's no better plant for incorporating more texture into the landscape!

Tolerates extreme moisture conditions
This versatile, easily grown ornamental grass, also known as muhly grass or sweetgrass, is native to the U.S. and performs best in zones 6 and up. As tough as it is pretty, Cotton Candy tolerates drought, heat, humidity and wet conditions, and a wide range of soil types. Deer and rabbits tend to leave it alone.
