Creeping Phlox Collection

Creeping Phlox Collection

It's So Easy to Set the Scene!

Create a picturesque landscape with little, colourful flowers cascading down a dry-stacked stone wall or creeping along a rock garden. The spot in the sun that gets a bit too bright for other plants is just right for creeping phlox. There are so many places for this versatile collection—fill a border, enhance a mixed container planting or make a sweeping, perennializing ground cover!
A Filler AND a Thriller!
This handy collection keeps otherwise sparse areas lively with low-maintenance, gorgeous greens all year long. Creeping phlox provides even more colour interest come late spring, when the low-growing, needlelike foliage is completely covered in bright blooms. This collection has three different, complementing colours that will form a stunning patchwork pattern, as if your garden is enveloped in a vibrant quilt!

Includes 3 each of Blue Emerald, Red Wings and Drummond's Pink
Blue Emerald : This low-growing spreader blankets your garden with lavender-blue flowers, creating a stunning contrast with pinks and whites. Ideal for front borders and ground cover, this phlox thrives on slopes, combating soil erosion.
Red Wings : Transform your garden with this fast-spreading, drought-tolerant award winner. Its striking pinkish-red flowers display deep red centres and are set off by the dark green, awl-shaped foliage. Its vibrant, creeping carpet of flowers last 3-4 weeks.
Drummond's Pink : Boasting larger flowers than many other phlox, its rich rose-pink clusters create a lush floral ground cover. Ideal for borders and creeping through rock gardens, it attracts butterflies, hummingbirds and beneficial bees.

A Helping Hand in Gorgeous Hues
Carefree creeping phlox (Phlox subulata) is highly useful around the garden:
  • Erosion Controll—keeps poor, sandy or dry soil in place; perfect for a loose slope.
  • Weed Suppression—as an evergreen ground cover, it'll keep these nuisance species under control.
  • Drought Tolerance—once established, this sun lover won't need too much water.

Important Shipping Notes:

Breck's times its shipments from Holland so that bulbs and bareroots arrive at the proper planting time (depending on climatic conditions) for each area of North America. To promote optimum stress protection in transit and your success in the garden, bareroot perennials are kept in the ground in our nurseries until fully dormant. In the Fall, these plants tend to arrive at the later end of the shipping window below.

We will pack and ship your order based on the following schedules. The type of product you order or the weather may affect the anticipated shipping schedule below. Based on the contents of your order we always strive to ship your order complete, and as early as possible in the planting season to allow for the best root development once planted.
