Rainbows End Hosta
How to Care for Rainbow's End Hosta
Caring for a Rainbows' End Hosta is a similar process to taking care of other popular hostas. Hostas are incredibly easy to care for-as long as they're provided a location that receives afternoon shade, hostas will happily thrive for years. Provide a top dressing of compost each year to keep the soil enriched, and make sure to water your hostas consistently.Leave the foliage on your hosta until it begins to whither during late fall. Wait to cut back the plant until about 1/4th of the leaves have begun to wither, then trim it back as far as is desired. Hostas will regrow from the ground up each year.
You should divide your hosta every year or two to prevent overcrowding-as an added bonus, division will give you more Rainbow's End Hosta! To divide, simply pull up the hosta in spring, after the plants have begun to sprout. Separate the clumps using a knife of sharp spade, making sure each clump has several leaves. Then, replant at will.
