Shade Designer Garden
Shade Designer Garden
Made to be Displayed in the Shade
The star of any shade garden, and one that thrives in full shade, is the hosta. While most, including this collection's Elegans Hosta, have striking, trumpetlike flowers, gardeners usually grow hostas for their gorgeous foliage.
If you are planting a woodland garden, you will receive such natural woodland plants as ferns and lilies-of-thevalley, both of which create a dense ground cover.
Plant them as shown in the diagram included with your order to get a lovely flower garden without giving up your shade!
The varieties in this collection cover an area of approximately 72 square feet (6' x 12').
This garden is suitable for hardiness zones 4–8. It should be planted in well-drained soil where it will receive part to full shade.
Lily-of-the-Valley: Its clusters of tiny, white bells add charm and fragrance to every spring garden setting. Thrives in shade, spreading rapidly to create carpets of emerald foliage. Excellent under trees and in foundation beds, borders and banks.Convallaria majalis
