Placed along a walkway, they'll beckon you to linger a while as their heady perfume and peaceful beauty envelop and transport you to another time and place.

Includes 1 root each of Neptune™, Scentimental™ and Sugar Moon®. Varieties are labeled for ease of planting.

  • Neptune™ Hybrid Tea Rose - The sweet-smelling 4½–5½" blooms are lavender with a subtle purple edge. They carry more than 35 petals each and are beautifully set off by the large, glossy green leaves. Neptune is well suited to planting in the centre of a garden bed. This upright grower is an excellent cut flower, noted for strong disease resistance and overall vitality
  • Scentimental™ Floribunda Rose - Not only does this rose have stunning color and a sweet-spicy scent, but it also thrives in tough conditions—it’s resistant to disease, heat, humidity and even pollution. What’s more, it flowers steadily from mid to late spring long into fall. Scentimental’s stunning appearance—its branches of colourful rose clusters bloom from well-formed buds atop a trunk as tall as 48"—and strong sweet-spicy fragrance make it ideal for both bouquets and potpourri. The clean, quilted, dark green foliage maintains its good looks.
  • Sugar Moon® Hybrid Tea Rose - Prepare to be amazed by this variety’s powerful cold-cream perfume. Big, pointed buds spiral open into 5" blooms with broad petals of pure white. Black-green leaves make the flowers pop all the more. Good rebloom, natural vigour and long stems make this a perfect addition to a cutting garden.

  • Planting InstructionsStart by soaking the roots in cold water for at least 2 hours. Mound a cone of soil in the center of the hole, then spread healthy roots around the soil mound with bud union (the knot at the base of the plant) at ground level for mild climates, or 2-3" below ground level for cold climates.
  • Light RequirementsFull Sun, Partial Shade
  • Soil RequirementsWell drained, humus enriched soil.
  • Will TolerateAcidic Soil, Loamy Soil, Sandy Soil
  • Watering RequirementsRoses prefer a thorough watering but do not like 'wet feet.' Water early in the day to avoid wet conditions overnight, which can lead to fungal problems and disease.
  • Fertilization RequirementsFertilize yearly after each bloom cycle, once new growth reaches 4-5". Stop feeding before winter.
  • PruningRemoving spent blooms will encourage more flowers. Prune dramatically in early spring, after the danger of frost has passed and before new growth has begun.
  • Winter CareMulch heavily (2-4") around the base of the plant for winter protection, and remove in early spring.
