It grows 3-5' and features lush, dark green leaves with a waxy sheen. The ZZ plant is native to drought-prone eastern Africa and tolerates a wide range of growing conditions such as low light, low humidity and lack of water. It's perfect for someone without the time to care for a needy plant. Put this versatile plant almost anywhere in any room at home or at the office.   • Soil RequirementsThanks to the ZZ plant's rhizomes which store water, it can stand dry soil for a long time. Do not oversaturate the plant with water.
  • Will TolerateDry Soil, Loamy Soil
  • Watering RequirementsWater every 3 weeks in the warmer months and monthly in the colder months. Do not drench the plant and oversaturate it. A good indicator is if the first inch or so of the soil is dry.
  • Fertilization RequirementsFertilize biannually
  • PruningPrune away any yellowing or dead leaves and stems as they appear. The flower can be pruned away with no harm to the plant. If the plant needs to be cut all the way back, it will regrow over time.
