Ranunculus Mixture
Ranunculus Mixture
This mix produces a flamboyant palette of flowers.
How Do You Plant Ranunculus Mix?
Ranunculus bulbs should be planted in sandy soil that is well-drained, ideally with a slightly acidic composition. Prior to planting, immerse the ranunculus bulbs in warm water for a duration of 3-4 hours. When placing the claw-shaped bulbs in the ground, ensure that the "claws" face downward. Ranunculus thrives in environments with cool evenings and moderately sunny days. Optimal growth occurs when the soil surrounding the bulbs of the ranunculus mix remains dry, while ensuring the roots remain adequately moist. It is important to avoid excessive watering.Do Ranunculus Grow Back Every Year?
Depending on where they are grown, ranunculus bulbs can be treated as either annuals or perennials. Gardeners in Zones 8-10 can allow their ranunculus bulbs to overwinter in the ground, and they will bloom again in the following summer. In Zones 3-7, the bulbs should be lifted in fall and stored in a cool, dry place, such as a garage or basement, until replanting them in spring. Because the bulbs do not always store well, some growers in cooler climates choose to leave the bulbs to die in the ground at the end of the season and plant new ones the next spring.-
