While Black Pearls produces the darkest foliage of any astilbe, its vibrant, long-lasting flower plumes are what truly set it apart. Each attention-getting plume consists of hundreds of tiny, deep purple florets with hints of blue. They truly stand out against the plant’s divided, fernlike, extremely dark green leaves. Grows easily in regular to moist soil when the earth is not allowed to dry out.
