The compact habit also works beautifully for the front of a sunny border or a mixed container, where it'll bring in the butterflies and beneficial pollinators. It's easy to care for, tolerating heat, deer, drought and poor soils that are dry or high in salts. Over time, it will spread beautifully and can easily be divided in early spring.
