  • Planting InstructionsDig a hole 12-18" deep and wide enough so all of the roots can be spread out without touching the sides. Mix in leaf mold, peat moss, manure or compost. Fill hole halfway with water and let soil settle and water drain. Fill remainder of hol and water thoroughly. Mound loose soil up around canes to protect the plant from sudden temperature changes.

  • Watering RequirementsRoses prefer a thorough watering but do not like 'wet feet'. Water early in the day to avoid wet conditions into the night which can cause issues with fungus and disease.
  • Fertilization RequirementsIn Spring and monthly during bloom season.
  • PruningPrune in early spring, when about half the growth buds swell. First remove any dead or damaged canes. Next cut back about 1/3 to 1/2 the previous year's growth. Remove any crossing canes or suckers.
  • Winter CareAfter first killing frost make a mound of loose soil at least 8" high over the base of the plant in zone 5 and below. Cover the mound and lower exposed canes with mulch.
