Named for Japanese Sumo wrestler, Akebono Taro, this late-blooming tulip effectively extends the spring flowering season with opulent, yellow blooms accented with a fine red edge and apple-green streaks. We find it particularly striking when planted in groups, but it also wows in borders and containers. A great border variety, it livens up late-spring displays with renewed color.
