Formulated for organic gardening, ferti-lome Green Horticultural Oil is a 96% canola oil concentrate that smothers insects and their eggs at every life stage. Use it as a dormant-season spray before buds break or as a growing-season treatment for ongoing pest pressure.

Apply it to roses, flowers, fruits, vegetables, houseplants and trees to control adelgids, aphids, mites, leafhoppers, mealybugs, scale, psyllids, immature plant bugs, sawfly larvae and whiteflies, as well as powdery mildew. Because it works by physical smothering rather than chemical toxicity, it has a lower impact on beneficial insects than many conventional insecticides when applied as directed. Just avoid spraying during drought or heat stress, since plants under moisture stress are more sensitive to oil applications.
