Towering spires of dusky purple flowers, each accented with a soft cream centre, rise above blue-green, trifoliate foliage to draw bees and butterflies in droves. This robust native forms a broad, upright clump with strong, non-flopping stems and excellent drought tolerance, once established. Easy to grow and low maintenance, it shines in borders, meadow plantings and as a striking specimen. The blooms are useful for fresh or dried arrangements.
