Pietertje Vriend Wagenaar Peony

Named after the breeder's mother, Pietertje Vriend Wagenaar catches the eye with the dark pink speckles that cover its bubblegum-pink petals. The fragrant, fully double flowers emerge from striking, red buds as bubble-gum pink with candy-cane striping. In addition, the presence of side buds extends the flowering period. The American Peony Society awarded its Gold Medal to this peony in 2018 and named it Peony of the Year in 2019!
