  • Planting InstructionsChoose a container 6-8" in diameter. Use a well-draining soil mix. We recommend equal parts loam, sand and compost. Plant bulb (tapered side up), keeping top 1/3 of the bulb above the soil.
  • Light RequirementsFull Sun, Partial Shade
  • Soil RequirementsWell drained
  • Will TolerateClay Soil, Loamy Soil, Sandy Soil
  • Watering RequirementsWater sparingly until the bulb develops leaves or flowers, then water more when necessary.
  • Fertilization RequirementsOnce per year
  • PruningRemove spent flower stalk after blooming. Allow foliage to dry out before removing to allow energy to be stored in the bulb for next year's bloom.
  • Winter CareReduce amount of water given around early August, allow bulbs to ripen and go into a dormant state for 6-8 weeks. Bring out of cool dark storage after 6-8 weeks to begin growth.
