Red alert! This variety's double blooms are entirely hued in deep, rich red that provides a perfect match for your indoor holiday season décor. To force the bulb to bloom indoors over the winter, plant it in your favourite container, add a cup of water and then enjoy watching it come to life! Within 6–8 weeks, you'll see one to two stalks sprout and grow 18–24" tall. Each scape bears three or four lush blooms measuring 5–6" in diameter. As a tender tropical, Velvet Nymph boasts all the exotic form and unique colouration that you might find in an island jungle, but you can enjoy it year after year in your own home.
