Description

Fragrant Gems for your Spring Garden
With a horticultural heritage that dates back to the 16th century and a name derived from Greek mythology, Hyacinth orientalis has a long, rich heritage that many gardeners are unfamiliar with. For instance, did you know that hyacinths were once more popular in Europe than tulips?

Back in the mid 1700s, nearly a century after Tulipmania, breeders took an interest in cultivating new varieties of the recently discovered double-flowered hyacinth. This sparked the hyacinth's most prominent era that lasted over 100 years.

With their intoxicating scent and vibrant spring colours, it's no wonder the hyacinth's popularity has endured. Still a giant in the Dutch bulb industry, Hyacinth is synonymous with spring for gardeners all over the world.

Our Dutch bulb experts combed the prize crops of Holland to create this one-of-a-kind collection. These giant Dutch hyacinths will be the pride of your early to mid-spring garden and a source of delight for all of your senses.

Stout, sturdy stems showcase hundreds of fragrant florets in five shimmering shades. Plant them near a window, and they will fill your home with heavenly fragrance.

Giant hyacinths are also excellent for cutting. Add them to arrangements and enjoy a touch of spring indoors. One stem perfumes a whole room!

This collection includes 5 each of the following varieties.
Blue Jacket
Jan Bos
Carnegie
Fondant
City of Haarlem.
