Top Gun Shrub Rose

This striking variety has excellent resistance to most major rose diseases, including the devastating rose rosette disease, which puts Top Gun at the top of its class. In several trials throughout the eastern U.S., it was untouched by RRD, while most other varieties showed symptoms of infection. But this shrub rose is not only tough, it's stunning and floriferous! The abundant, 2½–3" blooms are ruby red suffused with dark burgundy, a color scheme set off dramatically by the lustrous, green foliage. The long-lasting, semi-double flowers have exquisite, wavy petals and release a fruity scent. The blooms grow in clusters at the end of vigorous stems that rise from the plant's rounded, bushy habit. This maverick will take your breath away!
