Ammerlaan, tulips are more than just a crop—they’re a craft. While bulb growing has been part of the Ammerlaan heritage for generations, in-house breeding began about 30 years ago. Theo and his family combine time-honoured techniques with modern breeding methods to develop tulips that are truly distinctive. Rather than selecting for common traits alone, they look for the extraordinary: unique colour patterns, refined flower forms, vigorous growth and dependable garden performance. Each new seedling is carefully observed over several years, and only a small number earn the right to carry the Ammerlaan name.
