Goes Great With

Description

A very unusual shrub rose. The creamy pale yellow flowers have eyes of deep rosy cranberry with golden-orange stamens. From a distance, it could be mistaken for a Rose of Sharon; closer examination reveals its sweet, spicy scent. The vigorous plant is bushy and full, dense with striking grey-green foliage. But maybe the best trait of this novel variety is its superior black spot resistance. This superb shrub is ideal as a specimen planting in the perennial garden … as a beautiful living fence … as a vibrant screen for unwanted views. Rosa 'PEJamore' PPAF

I have had this rose in the ground for a year, and it is such a great plant. A very speedy grower, it has taken to its partial shade home on the fence line. No problems with disease, in spite of two very wet springs. The flowers are really neat. When they first open they are a light peach with maroon centers, but as the bloom ages it fades to white with a dusty pink center. The thorns are wicked and numerous! The summers here are hot and humid, but after the roses in my yard recovered from the heat, they put on a show of blooms from mid November through early January.
