Description

From the moment we saw Black Wizard in the famous Keukenhof Gardens, we were hooked on its ebony blooms and impressive height. Dark burgundy, almost black flowers on 2–3' stems add drama and beauty to any setting. Let foliage die off naturally to enjoy these lilies year after glorious year. Wonderful in borders, bouquets and mass plantings. Very cold hardy; easy to grow. Lilium asiatic

I bought these lilies last fall and they have just now bloomed. They are beautiful, but they are not black. They are more of a deep maroon. Still, they are pretty, but I was expecting something different based on the picture.

They are very beautiful but like the last review said they're deep red. Google images to see other pictures before purchase

I planted these in fall of 2016. I was expecting what the photo showed. But instead they came in a maroon color. I just wonder if as the years go by if they will eventually turn darker. Does anyone know if that is a common occurrence amongst perinials? They are beautiful though.
