Hardy Tarty Rhubarb

Hardy Tarty Rhubarb

A tart-tasting variety for both Northern and Southern gardens!

This versatile and resilient cultivar flourishes in both scorching sun and milder climates. Its robust, crimson stalks are firm and smooth, with a pleasing, fibre-free texture. Hardy Tarty's lemony-tart flavour adds zest to your culinary creations without overwhelming the palate. The compact plants, which rarely bolt, promise a bountiful harvest, year after year. We recommend not harvesting stalks in the first season to allow plants to become established.

Shipping

Important Shipping Notes:

Breck's times its shipments from Holland so that bulbs and bareroots arrive at the proper planting time (depending on climatic conditions) for each area of North America. To promote optimum stress protection in transit and your success in the garden, bareroot perennials are kept in the ground in our nurseries until fully dormant. In the Fall, these plants tend to arrive at the later end of the shipping window below.

We will pack and ship your order based on the following schedules. The type of product you order or the weather may affect the anticipated shipping schedule below. Based on the contents of your order we always strive to ship your order complete, and as early as possible in the planting season to allow for the best root development once planted.
