Goes Great With

Chase Away Old Man Winter with Our Premium Helleborus!

Our Helleborus Ladies Are Truly Superior! Long-lasting colour. Lush evergreen foliage. Blooms even in deepest shade. Multiplies annually. Low and compact. Flowers until mid spring. Deer resistant!

This collection includes 1 Yellow Lady, 2 Pink Lady and 2 White Lady Helleborus.

So Easy to Grow
Helleborus is great for beginner gardeners. Growing 14-18" high with a similar clumping spread, these carefree plants will multiply annually. Pest and disease free, helleborus prefer rich, slightly alkaline soil but are welladapted to a wide range of evenly moist soils. Plant in partial to full shade and space plants about 18" apart. For best results, choose a protected site out of drying winds. Helleborus is winter hardy in zones 4-9 and can survive in zone 3 in a sheltered site with reliable snow cover. Helleborus reseeds readily. For more plants, simply collect the seedlings and replant them in a new location while they are still small. Mature plants may be divided in the spring or fall.

So Many Uses
Mix with Spring Bulbs— Mounds of lush, evergreen foliage complement tulips, daffodils and more, and also help hide spent flowers and wilting foliage!
Gorgeous Ground Cover— Helleborus reseeds readily. You can also divide mature clumps in the spring or fall!
Brightens up Borders— Lower and more compact than other helleborus; fills gaps and chokes out weeds!
Livens up Woodland Areas— Adds colour and texture to problem shady spots through mid spring!
Captivating Cut Flowers— Bring your Ladies indoors to brighten any room. And with up to 50 flowers per helleborus clump, you will have plenty!

New Intense Colour from Larger, Longer-Lasting Blooms!
In 1993 the famous German breeder, Gisela Schmiemann, took over the stock of the equally renowned English breeder, Helen Ballard (the "Helleborus Queen"). Since then, Schmiemann and her associates have worked hard to develop new and exciting helleborus with richer, deeper colours and larger blooms. Our collection includes three of the very best varieties of the richly coloured "Lady" series. These are the best helleborus our staff has tested—blooming abundantly from late winter through spring.

Colour Just When You Need It Most!
Even while the ground is still covered with melting snow and mud, you will enjoy vibrant colours of pink, yellow and white. Helleborus Lady starts flowering in late winter and continues to bloom abundantly until mid spring. Nodding, cup-shaped flowers 2" across face outward along 18" stems. You may expect as many as 50 or more flowers per plant when the clumps reach maturity. These romantic blooms are highly prized for their long lifetime in the vase. Spent flowers give way to attractive seedpods while the glossy, semi-evergreen foliage forms a lush and attractive ground cover year round.

This collection includes 1 Yellow Lady, 2 Pink Lady and 2 White Lady Helleborus.
